I didn’t mean to poison her

What’s with all the allergies these days?

I made some cookies yesterday. It’s the third thing I’ve baked in as many weeks. Since I’m just in a baking mood and I could really do without eating several dozen cookies, I’ve been splitting them up between Gabe/the shop and bringing them to work for my co-workers.

I took my first stab at oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies. I followed the recipe exactly since it was the first attempt. I usually skip the walnut’s in cookie recipes. I used finely chopped ones instead. I wanted to see how they’d turn out. Not that great. But they’re still cookies, so it’s all good.

Except when I get a call at lunch asking if the cookies had walnuts in them. Uh-oh. Apparently she only had a bite and the walnuts and benadryl are battling it out. She doesn’t look so good.

housing update

The $365/385 house sold. No word yet on the tear down or 1 bedroom houses.

Housing prices = amazing

Three for sale signs have sprung up recently on my block. I just went to look them up.

One pretty nice house listed for $385k or $365k depending on where you look. Still only 1600 sqft because of finished basement.

One house for $263k that’s 710 sqft and on the other side of the drug dealers.

One as a tear down for $260k. (For $10k, they’ll even tear it down!)

Kinda makes me curious what I could get for my house that I bought for <$250k a year ago.
