We eat ham and jam and…
I started to waver on whether I was going to actually try to spend some free time in NY around the business trip. It was starting to sound really complicated and the idea of spending a few days alone in New York City, where I’ve never been, was a little intimidating.
Then when I saw the news item yesterday morning about the 14 Tony nominations for Spamalot, it reminded me and I had a mission. Of course tickets are sold out for the foreseeable future, but they were available with hotel packages.
So, I got 2 nights hotel and a Sunday matinee ticket for Spamalot. Third row of the mezzanine. Woo-hoo!
Now to narrow down what else I’m going to do in my 3 day tour. Any suggestions?
New vacation plan
This is great. A new way to finance vacations. Have your company pay for it. This June, I will get to visit my new neice and her parents in LA on the company dime. The following week, my first trip to New York, company paid. Of course, I’ll be attending a training course for part of the LA trip and I’ll be at an off-site meeting in a New York hotel, but still. They don’t care if I extend the trip a couple days through the adjoining weekend.
