Yay! It all fits!

I’m finishing up my re-packing after a week and a half worth of travel. It’s always tricky to get everything to pack up again after that. I tried to only get very small or thin things to bring along. Oh, and I’m throwing away the bad shoes of course. Even ifI did just buy them the day before I left. Cuz, you know, they’re bad.

I go eat my yummy included breakfast, check out, then buy an extra tube ticket toget all the way to the airport. Then a fun very full day of flying and layovers. I get to be on a 777 on my first leg, so that should be fun.

I’m actually ready to get home.

So… tired

I just woke up and can barely move. Want to stay in bed. Must… enjoy last day in London!

Paris

Went to Paris on the Eurostar for a day trip today. It’s the chunnel trip. It goes fast and smooth. I took standard class in, first class out. It was nice to be pampered after a long day. Really I only did it because it was actually cheaper than the standard class options still available. They’re both perfectly fine.

Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre (including Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa), Palais Royale, Sacre Coeur.

All great. Only paid for Louvre (8.50 euro) and the stairs only option at the Eiffel Tower (3.80 euro). Plus a 5 euro metro day pass. So, this was a pretty cheap trip. I did tack on a few souvenirs. Most of the others had a compelling extra that you’d pay for entry to. Towers at Notre Dame, going inside the Arc de Triomphe, dome & crypt entry at Sacre Coeur. With time constraints and a feeling of “been there, done that” I opted not to on these.

I’m glad I saw all these things, but I’m pretty much done with Paris I think. Not knocking it, just kinda did all I wanted. So I’m glad it was just a day trip cuz there’s a lot I still want to do in London, which is a bigger draw for me.
