I think I’m broken
On Friday evening I started having a mild odd sensation in my back. It was much like the aches I’ve had with the flu. It’s different than muscle aches from a back injury, more like the joints. It wasn’t very strong, just weird. I’d also had almost no appetite that day. I chalked most of it up to waking up really early with little sleep. Saturday I was more or less OK for much of the day then started having more general (but still mild) lower back pain later in the day. I also started experiencing nausea when I went on a quick car trip to buy some more glue. This morning though, I woke up feeling quite stiff in my lower back. It’s so weird. I didn’t do anything to it. Maybe it is a weird infection of some sort. I miss the days when I had illnesses that followed one of maybe 3 typical, easily recognizable patterns.
Aw, how cute
I’m known by the neighborhood kids as “the other Kelly”. I thought they’d forget me pretty quickly after the spontaneous roaming block party from a few weeks ago. I was just outside investigating a noise when the pack o’ kids walked away past my house away from visiting another neighbor. I hear one of the littlest ones say “Hey, it’s the other Kelly. Hi Kelly!” It was very cute.
Although it’s kind of amusing that I’m the “other” one, though not that surprising. I’ve been here longer that the other other Kelly, but she’s almost always out on her porch and is much more overtly friendly than me. Plus she’s at the heart of the good part of the street.
That house
I looked up info on the house I was asking about recently. It’s not on the main site yet, but underlying paperwork shows that it went for $396,000. That’s not really that much more.
New dishwasher
I bought a new dishwasher tonight. I looked at my sink at the stack of dishes and didn’t want to cook anything because of it. This was becoming even more common as time progressed. I pulled out the appropriate consumer reports, found a clear frontrunner and had to give in and go to Sears. I ended up getting this one.
It’ll be installed next week.
